THAILAND!!!!!!

Myself, my other half and a friend recently decided to visit Singapore.

The major attraction was the fact that Nigerians and most other nationals do not need Visas to visit Singapore. Yippee!!!!!!

Throw in a cheap BA ticket and the fact that a very good friend who lived there was willing to act as tour guide, the trip was signed, sealed and agreed.

Being the adventurous sort that we are, we decided to explore other SE asian countries. Malaysia and Thailand came up tops in the list of recommended countries. So began our quest for the much needed Visas.

The Malaysian visa was sorta straightforward, you did not even need an appointment. Just a visit to the embassy with the required docs and the usual half a day of waiting around and we were done

The Thai embassy was another story entire which I shall reserve for another post

My favourite hobby is travelling and sightseeing........

If I am not on a trip, I am planning one and I am happiest when exploring the unknown.

But I have a major limitation to my dream of seeing the world, I am NIGERIAN!!!!!!

We are often classed as persona non grata in most embassies and discouraged from visiting most countries. Actually that puts it mildly, most embassies seem to have every conceivable restriction, especially for NIGERIANS.

The need for these extra restrictions is often blamed on the number of illegal NIGERIAN immigrants in their country but unfortunately these restrictions affect the honest and well-meaning ones like me who just want to visit

So this blog is a diary of my attempt at navigating immigration red tape in order to accomplish my goal of seeing the world.
